Putra Medical Centre’s Accident & Emergency service is open 24 hours a day to assess and manage urgent medical concerns. Our care team evaluates each patient’s condition and determines the appropriate next step based on clinical need.
When to seek emergency care
Go to an emergency department for serious or rapidly worsening symptoms such as difficulty breathing, chest pain, uncontrolled bleeding, a change in consciousness, sudden weakness or speech difficulty, severe injury, burns, or a serious allergic reaction.
This list is not exhaustive. If you believe someone is experiencing a life-threatening emergency or cannot travel safely, call Malaysia’s emergency number 999 immediately.
What happens when you arrive
Emergency patients are assessed so the care team can understand the illness or injury and prioritise treatment according to urgency. Patients with the most serious conditions may need to be treated first, even if they arrived later.
You may be directed for further examination, treatment, monitoring or referral depending on the clinical assessment.
What to bring
If it is safe and practical, bring the patient’s identification, current medication list, allergy information, relevant medical records and insurance or guarantee-letter details. Do not delay emergency care to collect documents.
