Medical Service

Obstetrics & Gynaecology (O&G)

Specialist care for pregnancy and women’s reproductive health, from routine assessment to ongoing management and follow-up.

Putra Medical Centre’s Obstetrics & Gynaecology (O&G) service provides specialist care for pregnancy and women’s reproductive health. Our team offers a respectful setting where patients can discuss symptoms, concerns and care options at different stages of life.

Obstetric care

Obstetric care supports mothers during pregnancy and after birth. Depending on individual needs and the stage of pregnancy, a consultation may include a review of medical and pregnancy history, routine assessment, discussion of recommended tests and planning for appropriate follow-up.

Patients with pregnancy-related concerns are encouraged to contact the clinic for advice on the most suitable appointment or service.

Gynaecological care

Gynaecology focuses on the female reproductive system and related health concerns. Patients may seek an assessment for menstrual changes, pelvic discomfort, abnormal bleeding, menopausal symptoms or other reproductive health concerns.

The doctor will discuss your symptoms and medical history before recommending any examination, investigation, treatment or referral. Available services and procedures may vary, so please confirm your needs when arranging an appointment.

What to expect

Your visit begins with a confidential discussion about your health and concerns. A physical or pelvic examination is only performed when clinically appropriate and should be explained beforehand. Further tests, such as laboratory testing or ultrasound imaging, may be recommended based on the assessment.

You are welcome to ask questions about the proposed care plan, benefits, possible risks and alternatives before deciding on the next step.

What to bring

Bring identification, appointment details, relevant medical records, previous test or scan results and a current list of medicines or supplements. For pregnancy-related visits, bring your antenatal record when available.

Arrange your visit

Clinic schedules and services may vary. Request an appointment or contact Putra Medical Centre at 03-6156 4735 to confirm availability, referral requirements and the documents you should bring.

For severe pain, heavy bleeding, fainting or another urgent concern, seek immediate medical attention or visit the 24-Hour Accident & Emergency service.
