Putra Medical Centre’s Antenatal & Postnatal Clinic supports expectant mothers and couples as they prepare for parenthood. The service focuses on practical education, reassurance and opportunities to discuss important questions about pregnancy and the period after birth.
Support during pregnancy
Antenatal guidance can help parents better understand the changes and decisions that may arise during pregnancy. Topics may include appropriate nutritional intake, relaxation and breathing techniques, preparation for delivery and common medical concerns during pregnancy.
The content and format of each consultation or session may vary according to individual needs and the healthcare professionals involved.
Preparing for parenthood
Pregnancy affects the whole family. Couples are encouraged to raise questions, discuss their concerns and learn how they can support one another before and after the baby arrives.
Our aim is to help families feel informed, prepared and reassured while recognising that every pregnancy and recovery is different.
Postnatal support
The postnatal period is an important time for the mother’s recovery and the family’s adjustment to caring for a newborn. Follow-up discussions may address recovery, general well-being, nutrition and questions that arise after birth.
